Well I wasn't able to see your profile/ picture so I'll just tell you my impression.

I know a lot of girls that went from brown to blonde %26amp; it made their faces look pink all the time. Be careful with choosing the right color dye. It needs to have an undertone that will compliment your skin, otherwise your face will look pink/ red. I am a natural blonde %26amp;, quite a while ago, I had tried bleaching my hair to make it even blonder. I didn't realize how pink it made my face look until I grew out the bleach %26amp; compared student ID pictures. WOW. So please be careful in choosing a dye.

Make sure you're sure you know your skin tone...

See if this site helps your find the right colors %26amp; apply that knowledge to your choice in dye.

You should go to makeoversolutions.com. its like 14.95 to use for 3 months but you can upload ur pic there and try on all kinds of different styles and colors. It also has celebrity styles. I constantly want to change my color and this site helps me:)

I AM NOT ABLE TO VIEW YOUR PICTURE BECAUSE YOU ARE LISTED AS PRIVATE AND I AM NOT IN YOUR FRIENDS LIST--SO-I WOULD SAY-YOU COULD PROBABLY LOOK FABULOUS AS A BLONDE -IF YOU WANT YOUR HAIR TO LOOK THICKER-HAVE IT DONE BY A PROFESSIONAL AND HAVE MORE THAN 1 COLOR PUT IT-WHEN THEY ADD CONTRAST-DARKER BLONDE/CARAMEL/HONEY-IT GIVES THE ILLUSION OF FULLNESS.

i think that you should. youd look real cute with blonde hair. i'm going blonde WITHOUT any coloring or anything like that.

I think that if you want to go blonde for a change, then go for it.

If you've never been a blonde before, then I wouldn't suggest doing it by yourself at home. I would go to a salon and get it done so it dosen't mess up. (When going from really dark to light, you never know what you're going to get...)

As far as what /color/ blonde... I would go with a honey color, with lighter highlights around your face to bring out/brighten your eyes. But consult with the stylist before deciding on the exact color, b/c she'll know what will compliment your skin tone (which in my opinion is the key to making your hair look natural).

And since your hair is a bit long, it will be A LOT of blonde. I would cut it just a bit, or even just have her cut off the dead ends. And since your hair will have less weight, it will be easier to get that volume you seem to want.

You can also go a cheap salon if you have a light wallet, it will still get the job done right.

So changing your color, and length... I think it will be a nice dramatic change.

(P.S. - Your myspace link is friends only, so I didn't see your picture.)

A great way to perk up brown hair would be to go for highlights. This would give you a more natural look, also without the constant maintenance of keeping brown roots dyed blonde! I agree you should go to a pro either way unless you're really experienced at home color.
