My mom has finally given in and will let me use makeup! But she says I need a lighter color eyeliner like a blue gray or brown. i have greenish brownish eyes and Blonde-brown-redish hair. Please any suggestions?-Maggie

A light shade of brown would probubly bring out your eyes, also a dark green eyeliner would bring out the grean in your eyes. A nice light green eyeshadow would be good too. Everything in moderation. Actually what u want to do is create a focal point (a.k.a where you want peoples eyes drawn too. Its either eyes or mouth but NEVER both). Since your mom just started letting you wear make-up start w/the eyes. Greens would probubly work best on you. If not, try shades of brown. Earth tones will look good on you most likely. The key is to take a day to experament. Try different colors and find what you like. Hope I could help. Best of Luck.

i think mom is right. either color you mention goes good with your eye color. We share the same eye color and I look like a racoon if I go too dark. Lighter is more natural looking you will want to enhance your looks.

I've got green eyes and brown-reddish-black hair. I've found that using a reddish eyeliner really brings out the green in my eyes AND the red in my hair. Go for cinnamon, brick, brownish-red colors if you want your eyes to pop. Or you could go for a smoky neutral and let your your eyeshadow dominate (again, reds and plums are great for green eyes. Purple is good if you have golden flicks in your eyes. Also various shades of pink work well with green eyes. Just make sure they match your hair color as well.

That's funny i have the same hair color and eye color as you. I actually think the darker colors work better since the color of my hair isn't really light or really dark. I usually use a dark brown or black. The dark brown highlights the brown outlines in my eyes, and makes the green in my eyes stand out (and will do the same for you). I use black every once in a while because it's more dramatic and brings out a darker green color. Grey also works, just make sure it's a more dusky dark grey, it also looks very nice with green.

Oh and to make the eyeliner look more natural, try using a dampened eye make up brush and smudging the liner just a little bit. It looks better when the line isn't completely straight. and don't use liquid, it doesn't look as natural.

Yes, your mom is right. I light brown eyeliner would look great with your eye and hair color. It will look very natural, which is ALWAYS a good thing! Don't buy purple or blue eyeliner...it just looks gross and slutty. =]

Use pastels. Ima make artist and i know how sum girls be lookin a hot mess. In the mags, if you look to those for supports, dont do what they say is in right now. its usually teh opposite. If they say dark colors are in, its light colors. they say light colors r n its dark or lighter colors. BUt since your eyes are greenish brown use a gold or army green color. A metallic gold on your eyes would dazzle you positivly. Shimmery colors too. Any color in the pastels area will work for you, except a too pink shimmery/metallic pink. lol other then that Rock it!
