Eye liner for small eyes?

I really want to make my eyes look bigger. When I line my top lid, my eyes look smaller and i look like i'm dressing up for halloween no matter what i do...should i line the lower lid? and if so how do i do that without it looking bad? help please!!! thanks

p.s. i have blue/gray eyes and a medium light skin tone oh and dark brown hair

line half of the lower lid and half of the top lid.... on the outer corners of the eye. it will make them appear bigger

if you line fully on lower or top lid it will make your eyes look smaller since you have small eyes

i would use a brown liner and not put it on the top lid put it on the bottom. also put a little on the outer corners of the upper lid

I do not that you should never line the inner rim of your eye. This makes your eye appear smaller. You should outline only halfway from the corner to the middle of your iris. If you line further, your eyes will once again look smaller. If your eyes are really this small, try consulting a cosmetics counter rep. such as nars, mac cosmetics, or lancome (These are a few of my faves). They can help you create a look that will define your features.

Try white eyeliner..sure, it sounds crazy, but it not only illuminates your eyes, but also makes them look MUCH bigger. When using the eyeliner, line the closest to the lashes you can. Lining the bottom lid shouldn't be a problem. Depending on how dark your medium light skin tone is (it varies), don't apply TOO much to your lower lid because it may make you look weird. =]

Also, wear brown mascara and not black. Black will close up your eyes!

try and use a grey colour, or not quite black as it will compliment your eyes.

i would recommend maybelines or N.Y colour for eyeliners.

Try also using some light eyeshadow on your upper eye lids. The light color opens up the eye.

line just the top lid with black eye liner and make a little flick at the end for a cat-eyed look. then line your bottom inner lid with white eye liner. This should make your eyes look wider/almond shaped and less round
