What should I wear to an anime convention if I ever go???

I would really like some ideas.

Okay, I have brown hair with red highlights in them and my hair only goes like not even an inch below my shoulders.

I have blue-gray eyes.

What should I wear to an anime convention if I ever go???

be an anime cameo...

i think you should go as nami from onepiece anime/manga.

she's cool, hair's about the same color and length as yours, and i think the costume is not really hard to put together - as she wears a t-shirt and a short skirt.

but maybe you should make that stick she uses as a weapon so people know who you dressed up are.

just a thought. hehe.

I assume you're thinking of cosplay, not just normal wear, and asking what character should you dress as?

First, consider what anime you like, and what characters you like.

Second, consider yourself -- hair and eyes can be changed as needed. Height, weight, gender, build, cannot (or take a lot of work to minimize/conceal!)

Third, consider your resources. What clothes, materials, money, creativity, and time do you have available?

Now putting all three together: what characters would you enjoy dressing as, could convincingly pull off, and have the time and materials and ability to make?

For example, I like Bleach. I'm 6', female, big hips, bust, shoulders, lips, and I have waistlength brown hair. I like Rukia's character in Bleach, but... she's short. Slight build. Shortish hair. I could make a Rukia costume but it's likely that nobody would recognize me unless just as a Bleach shinigami... "which one are you?" If I wanted to do Bleach, I would have a bit better match in Orohime -- she's a bit bustier and has long brown hair, and has fairly simple, normal clothes with just a little distinctive jewelry -- or Rangiku, also busty, different color hair, but long, so easier to conceal my own hair under a wig, though I would have to sew or buy the shinigami robe and her special variations on the uniform.

In sum: look for a character you'd enjoy dressing as. If not a close enough physical match, be sure that the costume itself has enough clues/detail/depth to make it clear who you are portraying (not to mention, accuracy and detail are impressive).
