What color should i mix to hide greys and brassyness?

The box colors make my hair to brassy so i went to Sally's cause i read they have Clairol's brass busters, so I'm talking with the lady tell her i have like 50% grey and my hairs to light and to brassy.

last i used nice and easy med golden blonde

before it was just nice and easy dark blonde . so i told her i want to cover the grays don't want brass and a little darker .

she gives me Clairol gray busters 87 N medium neutral blonde

so i did a color test thank god i did it came out dark almost like a tint of purple to it, yes i mixed it with the same amount of peroxide.

so should i have mix like 1/4 of the grey busters with a 1/2 regular color like dark blonde brass busters and 1/2 20 volume

I dont really know about the technical part...but to cover mine I usually use an ash color....Usually light ash brown:) Hope that helps.

God I would never do this at home, you are risking losing your hair. Go to a salon. I have gray too. The best thing to do with gray is to start getting lighter highlights, little by little, this way when the gray starts coming in they blend with the highlights. It works and looks natural and great. When you start mixing at home you are in dangerous territory, unless your a hair stylist and have been to school. You will never get the same results at home. If you were just doing one color, thats something else, but I wouldn't do it. Your hair will break off badly and look awful
