Determing your season?

I've got an important even coming up and I want to get a dress that matches my "season" so that it looks as good as possible on me. I have fair skin, dark blonde hair that most say looks redish but I would consider neutral, blue-green-gray eyes (somedays blue gray, sometimes blue-green). People say I look really good in purple and red (some swear I look best in this slightly fushia pink). I think I look good in gray blue, but thats my favorite color so I probably made that up.

Also if I still feel I can't determine the right shade are there people who determine this for you? Where would I find them?

There are some websites that can help you determine your basic color season, but I think it's important to note the exceptions and wear what you look good in.
