Just wondering if my washer is about to go out or if I need to use a different detergent. I use Arm%26amp;Hammer and have used it before, but maybe the product has changed recently? I know the dryer will filter out some of the hair and lint, but I hang dry my darks and delicates. Last time I washed a load of darks, they were almost gray from all the lint! And I want my clothes to be clean coming out of the wash!

i would try some different detergent.may check the pockets to see if some may have left paper in them or something.it could be a variety of things, also maybe your filling your machine to full. try half loads and see if that will help good luck.

I would try a different a detergant at first, listen to your washer and make sure that it sounds like it is working properly.

I have to wonder if the filter that protects the pump is plugged. If I was having your problem I would have a service tech look at it before I bought a new machine.

That much lint is just not normal, so the only answer it's not being pumped out with the wash or rinse water.

I have never heard of a detergent causing lint on clothes before. I am guessing it isn't your washer it's what being put in it. Make sure you completely remove anything in the pockets. Little things like tissues they turn into lint and get stuck to clothes washed later, also be sure to make sure there are no fabric sheets in your washer they cause serious lint problems.

Maybe you should shake the food, lint, and hair out of the laundry BEFORE putting it in the machine.

First off check ALL pockets.

Load is too large.

Your agitator isn't working properly.

Try an extra rinse.

Lastly, try washing your clothes at a laundry mat with the heavy duty washer.

Probably your washer.

Sometimes if you put more clothes in than that load-setting can handle, clothes come out still just as dirty as they went in.

Or... your washer might have just ..quit.

I use arm %26amp; hammer and my clothes definately come out clean so its not the detergent.

I know this is a dumb questin but... you HAVE cleaned out the dryer filter lately right? You'd be surprised how many people DON'T do that.

It could be something else too, but I'm not really a washing machine expert.. just throwing out ideas! Hope I helped.

If your laundry detergent is putting lint and food in your clothes..there is a more serious problem here than any of can imagine....* shiver * .... but since we can safely assume THE DETERGENT is not to blame, just check the inside of the washer, your pockets and see if the neighbor cat is missing before starting up your next cycle.

Try running a couple of wash cycles without clothes. Use vinegar (wont' hurt anything) in the 1st cycle. Watch the drainage to see if it seems slow. Something to try before calling the repair man.
