I'd go with the dark skinny jeans. Put your hair half up into a loose ponytail or clip, so that it's out of your way for dancing. Add some stacked bangles, hoop earrings and some ballerina flat shoes.

go to indulgence day spa and salon get Laura to do your make-up and Charles to do your hair they're the best people ever!

well if your hair is naturally curly straighten it by "blowing it out" with a hair dryer. But if your hair is naturally straight curl it with either a curling iron, or rollers. then pin it back a little with some kind of small dainty flower

HAVE FUN!!!

When I click the link, it just takes you to the Abercrombie home page : /

Anyway, I'm assuming that because you're wearing jeans and an Ambercrombie shirt, that this is a more or less casual dance.

For dances, you never want to go too heavy with makeup - if you dance a lot, or want to enjoy yourself, you're going to end up sweating a little. If it's a crowded dance, then there's always the weird little moments where you might accidentally smear something badly - not to mention you'll end up having to take breaks for touch ups.

Understated but noticeable make up includes:

-body glitter (powder type, or some lotions which have glitter in them)

-lip gloss

-a lightly applied eye shadow in a fun color (aside from natural hues)

Hair-wise, if you've got short hair, just do something sporty with it - add some clips, or maybe wear a head band that's close to the color of your jeans or whatever jewelry/special-shoes you're wearing to tie the outfit together.

The head band can still be used with long hair too, but I personally like to do some sort of up-do with mine so that it's out of the way and out of my face - a large clip, or I might braid it and do a bun with dangling beads on hair-sticks.

Most dances today are held in darkened rooms with little light and a lot of movement, and if that's the case for this dance, I really wouldn't worry about it - just have fun with it : )

I'm assuming it's a casual dance? So, what about footwear? Is there going to be actual dancing involved? Then wear flats. Kay, so, HAIR! You can do a sexy little up do with the ends sprouting out. I did that once and (temporarily) died the tips to match my outfit! make-up, go for a really natural look, and a (age- appropriate) smoky eye. Try not to do a black liner pencil, because not even Avril looks good in those damned raccoon eyes!
